United Palace ~ President
United Palace House of Inspiration (UPHI) ~ Spiritual Director
United Palace of Cultural Arts (UPCA) ~ Founder and Board of Directors Chair
Xavier Eikerenkoetter is the son of Rev. Ike. When Rev. Ike transitioned in 2009, Xavier became the Spiritual Director of his New York City church and renamed it United Palace House of Inspiration (UPHI). UPHI is a center of universal spirituality with a mission of inspiring communication, and celebration of our shared human spiritual essence, which calls the mind to transformation.
Born into a family steeped in spiritual practice and community engagement, Xavier has devoted his life to deepening, developing and expanding that focus by combining spiritual and artistic pursuits in service of the most fragile and under-served members of the community.
One of Xavier’s core beliefs is that creativity is an expression of the divine mind made manifest through human beings. To that end Xavier's work has fruitfully blended music, ministerial and psychotherapeutic work.
Ordained at 18, his 30 years of spiritual training, shamanic, meditative and ritual experience includes three years at the Center for Personal Transformation in the experiential study of deep meditative techniques. Xavier's credentials include a BA degree in philosophy from Columbia University and a master's in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, focusing on Jungian and depth psychology.
Under Xavier’s leadership UPHI has evolved into a trans-denominational, all-inclusive spiritual community that supports the individual and collective life of the soul and spirit within every human being. His responsibilities include ministering, inspirational speaking, congregational and ministerial leadership and development.
A lifelong musician, Xavier has composed and performed music and lyrics for instruments and voice. His three albums recorded to date are “Mystic Journey” (1998), a new age dynamic instrumental; “Global Soul” (2001), a vocal/instrumental blend of contemporary pop/R&B and world/tribal sounds; and “Re-Enchantment: Music to Conceive By” (coming soon), eclectic, epic, fusion music.
Xavier's musical studies include four years at the Harrison School of Music, where he studied guitar, bass, keyboard, singing, songwriting, and musical theory. Xavier also has shamanic training, which includes the study of healing and initiatory drumming techniques of Cechua (Peruvian), Dagara (Burkina Faso), and Sangoma (Zimbabwean) medicine men and women, and with the Masai tribe in Kenya. He studied with Mamady Keita, world-renowned Malinke grand master drummer from Guinea, West Africa, from whom he learned fine points of djembe and dunun of Mandingue drumming.
Xavier's ministerial activities also include extensive work in the field of metaphysics and spirituality, such as conducting seminars and ordination ceremonies, guiding meditative experiences, and facilitating sacred dance and drum rituals in the West African tradition. Starting in 2003, his personal ministerial outreach has included a concentration around youth work, which resulted in two nonprofit organizations that he founded: the United Palace of Cultural Arts (UPCA) in New York City and Rhythm Arts Alliance (RAA) in Los Angeles. Both organizations work with young people, fostering the development of conscious, soulful living in the world, with particular emphasis on the transformational power of art and music. Through these two non-profits he incorporates a love of ancient cultures (particularly world tribal music and spirituality) into successful programs with coming-of-age youth dedicated to helping young people make the successful transition into adulthood.

The United Palace House of Inspiration believes and affirms:
1. The Omnipresence of God. God is absolute good, everywhere present.
"Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there. If I make my bed in hell, behold Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall Thy hand lead me, and Thou right hand shall hold me." (Psalm 139:7-10)
2. The Divinity of Humankind.
As humans, we are the channels of God, the Christ within. Our very essence is of God and we are inherently Good.
"And God said, "Let us make man (humankind) in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man (humankind) in God's own image, in the image of God created God them." (Genesis 1:26-27)
3. The Power and Value of Thought.
As humans we create our own experiences by the activity of our thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
"For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." (Proverbs 23:7)
4. Practicing the Presence.
Through prayer, meditation and creative thinking we heighten our connection with God and bring forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good into our life and affairs.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)
5. The Law of Demonstration.
Knowing the Ancient Wisdom Principles, Universal Law and the laws of life, also called Truth, is not enough, we must also live and practice the Truth we know.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and God's righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)
As a Spiritual and Multicultural Community, we:
• Believe that spiritual power lives within us, eager to be discovered and expressed;
• Emphasize universal spiritual principles and welcome people of all races, religion, social backgrounds, lifestyles and economic levels;
• View religion as an open-ended search for Truth rather than as a closed system of pre-established beliefs;
• Embrace Jesus Christ as the perfect expression of our own indwelling spiritual potential, and his teachings as a guide to our own spiritual empowerment;
• Recognize and embrace the importance of spiritual community in supporting and empowering our personal journey.
