A Course In Miracles (full year)
Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m
Annette Eikerenkoetter, Instructor
Free, but donations are appreciated
Course Description and Objective: A Course in Miracles is a unique, universal, self-study spiritual thought system that teaches that the way to love, inner peace, miracles – or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiveness.
The Workbook for Students consists of 365 lessons, an exercise for each day of the year. A Course in Miracles was “scribed” by Dr. Helen Schucman through a process of inner dictation she identified as coming from Jesus. A clinical and research psychologist and tenured Associate Professor of Medical Psychology, she was assisted by Dr. William Thetford, her department head, who was also a tenured Medical Psychology at the Medical Center where they both worked. Community Circles and Classes UPHI brings you this course as a one-year training program. This training program begins the process of changing the student’s mind and perception so that the student can come to know that all-encompassing love has now opposite, and the blocks to this awareness (fear) be removed. This course of study is not intended to bring one’s learning to completion. Even though the language of the course is that of traditional Christianity, it is a universal spiritual teaching, such as the Science of Living, and not a religion.
Textbook: A Course in Miracles, 3rd ed., includes: Text, Workbook, the Manual for Teachers and the two supplements: Song of Prayer and Psychotherapy.
Prosperity: Ask and It Is Given
Thursdays from 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Cicely Bland, Instructor
It's your birthright to live a life filled with everything that is good! The study of Ask and It Is Given in our UPHI Prosperity Circle will show you how to make it so in every way!
During this Circle, participants are guided through experiential processes and hands-on techniques to strengthen their innate creative abilities. The Ask and It is Given Circle creates a foundation for the participants to manifest their desires with confidence in their oneness with Presence.
Now you’ll have a chance to join in an in-depth study of The Teachings of Abraham in this book Ask and It Is Given. Our Circle focuses on how the Universe provides for our every need when we give up struggling for our desires and simply align with our Inner Being. Manifesting our good – whether as loving relationships, vibrant health or abundant prosperity – is meant to be struggle-free.
If you’ve ever tried to “force” your life to get better, this Circle is designed to teach you how to approach the creative process with ease and contentment. In addition to working with the book, we’ll also listen to a variety of audio clips from Esther Hicks-Abraham as she coaches people through challenges that may probably sound very familiar.
You’ll also learn some practical exercises that will strengthen your understanding of the material and support you in your ongoing creative process. As you study, you'll come to understand how the Universal laws that govern your reality influence your relationships, health issues, finances, career concerns, and more. And you'll discover powerful processes that will help you go with the positive flow of life.

Introduction to Zen: Do Not Squander Your Life!
Bonnie Myotai Treace, Sensei
Course Description and Objective: Ever feel like you’re in some way just going through the motions of your one precious life? Join Bonnie Myotai Treace, Sensei, in this series of workshops exploring the essence of Zen. Known as a joyful yet serious and direct teacher, Myotai Sensei will open this new series at UPHI for those new to Zen as well her long-time students. Sensei: "Zen is not about tips, tools and strategies: it is about realizing directly and intimately who we are and the nature of things. And living our lives out of that realization. It is a reflective and meditative practice that brings us back to a vital, centered life that has real integrity. That’s why it’s relevant, and why it doesn’t contradict any belief system. It will, however, require dropping whatever baggage we’re carrying, masks we’re wearing, and committing ourselves. About time, don’t you think?"
Workshops are held Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Donations of $10-$50 requested from those able to make an offering to help support the teachings and provide possibilities for those who cannot otherwise attend. Please call to register, 212-568-6700 ext. 226.
